"Witnesses of charity in our daily lives"
"Testimoni di carità che abitano il quotidiano"
On the 14th and 15th of March, throughout Italy, Unitalsi will mark its 14th national day in support of families, the elderly and people with disabilities.
The initiative will involve the planting of an olive tree, a symbol of peace and brotherhood.
The symbol of the day – under the patronage of Italian TV personality Fabrizio Frizzi - will be an olive plant, which is being proposed as a commitment to peace and brotherhood across Italy and now also in Malta.
Assocjazzjoni Voluntarji Lourdes, which forms an active part of the UNITALSI family has teamed up with the Italian organisation and will be distributing olive plants against a donation towards its 2015 pilgrimage for the sick to Lourdes.
Olive plants are strong and sturdy, requiring little attention. For basic advice on taking care of your plant, please click here.
